Eeyore Costumes for Halloween or playtime!
“Eeyore’s Gloomy Place: Rather Boggy and Sad”…that’s how the southeast corner of the Hundred Acre Wood is identified, the place Eeyore calls home. We all know somebody like Eeyore don’t we, a person who is generally sad or melancholy? We tend to avoid people like that in our day-to-day because they make us feel uncomfortable and their attitude affects our own. That is, except Eeyore. Despite the fact that he’s “dismally gloomy for almost eternity”, he’s unquestionably one of the most beloved Winnie the Pooh characters of all time. And that’s why we’re here….to celebrate Eeyore and the fact that he’s loved by young and old alike.
Welcome to Eeyore Costumes where you can satisfy your child’s Halloween dreams. We exist because we too have an unending affection for Eeyore and nothing celebrates his legacy like wearing an Eeyore costume on Halloween. And here’s an adorable example! This Baby Eeyore Plush Bodysuit Infant/Toddler Costume would be perfect for your 12-18 Month old. So with all of Eeyore’s gloominess, why is he so likable? I think it’s Eeyore’s charm. Even though his actions and tone of voice may be contradictory, Eeyore truly does appreciate his friends Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Tigger, and the others. I think we all can sense a real love and compassion about him. So, on that rare occasion when we see Eeyore smile or he provides us with a hint of joy, we’re ready to celebrate with him.

Eeyore lives in a house made of sticks. Pooh and Piglet built this house for him after accidentally mistaking the original house Eeyore built as a pile of sticks. You can learn all the details about how this happened at winnie-pooh.org. Eeyore’s house has a name, it’s “The House at Pooh Corner” which happens to be the title of Alan Alexander Milne’s second book about Christopher Robin, his son, Winnie the Pooh, and of course, Eeyore.
Kenny Loggins, a very well known name in the music industry, wrote a lullaby for his son Luke, called “Return to Pooh Corner” and in that song, Eeyore’s house is mentioned in the chorus. It’s a wonderful song about how he (Kenny Loggins) reconnected with his childhood affection for Winnie the Pooh in the midst of introducing his own son to the same. Enjoy!!
Of course Eeyore appears in all of the Disney cartoons featuring Winnie the Pooh. Actor Peter Cullen provides the voice for Eeyore. Walt Disney made many artistic changes to the looks of the characters in the Hundred Acre Wood but the man responsible for the illustrations in the original books was Ernest H. Shepard. The success of Winnie the Pooh was credited as much to Mr. Shepard as it was to author, A.A. Milne.
